Over 100 active volunteers donate thousands of hours a year across the Territory.

Skills Canada Yukon has run more than 70 skills clubs in Yukon communities, mentoring people up to 30 years old in various trades and technologies. In the skills clubs, participants develop basic understanding of trades, and then are encouraged to pursue formalized training with the college.

It is our philosophy that if we teach our youth the correct and safe way to engage in the various trades we offer in the Yukon before they enroll in a post-secondary setting, these are habits and learned skills they will use for the rest of their working lives.
